Pronunciation

I had my first English course session on Monday. Or more precisely, my first course in "accent reduction". I don't necessarly try to get rid of my French accent, I just want to have some hints to be more fluent. It is really frustrating when I can't express myself with the same precision, the same exact meaning that I can convey while speaking in French. My written skills are probably not horrible, but I felt I needed some help.

I realized then that it was rather intimidating to speak one to one with a person who's analyzing each single word of our speech. And I also felt a certain curiosity towards my personality, which I didn't really appreciate. "Sophisticated", she found me sophisticated.

Yep. I can't deny it. Elitist. Yep. Litterate. In a way.

"Do you write ? Poetry ?"

No, not really. I didn't dare talk about my blog.

By the way, the different mistakes I make are:

- H. Damned H. I don't pronounce it well.

- The speech pattern is often not at the right place.

- I have trouble in finding the right verbs. Especially those with prefix.
